"How small resources can be used in big ways..."
Over the years, I often heard messages about how God can use what we already have for a greater purpose. As my daughter prepared to leave for college and I entered a new chapter of my own life, that message began to feel increasingly personal.
I started praying:
‘Lord, what do I have in my house, and what do You want me to do with it?’
The answer that continued coming back to me was simple:
‘Lemon Poppyseed Bread.’
For years, I had made Lemon Poppyseed Bread for family, friends, celebrations, and gifts. It was something I already had in my hands—something people loved and remembered.
What once seemed like simply a loaf of bread began to look very different. It was a resource God had already placed in my life, waiting to be used for something more.
And that became the beginning of a new chapter: using something simple to create connection, practice generosity, serve others, and build a business with purpose.
My hope is that this story encourages others to look at what's already in their own hands. Sometimes the beginning of something bigger is closer than we think.
